Salesforce alerts aren't posting

TroubleshootingFor adminsReviewed Guides: Salesforce

Something changed in Salesforce, but no alert shows up in the channel you picked.

  • Give it five minutes. Freesbe checks Salesforce for changes every five minutes, so an alert can arrive up to about five minutes after the change.
  • Check the connection. In Workspace settings → Integrations & apps → Integrations → CRM, Salesforce should say Connected. If it says Needs reconnecting, someone revoked Freesbe’s access in Salesforce or the connecting user was turned off: click Reconnect.
  • Check the alert is on, and takes that change. An alert marked Off doesn’t post. Open Edit from its ⋯ menu and check Alerts to post includes it: a new lead needs New leads, a deal moving to Closed Won needs Opportunities won.
  • Check the smallest opportunity. Opportunities worth less than Smallest opportunity to post, or with no amount, are left out.
  • Check who connected it. Freesbe sees only the records the connecting Salesforce user can see. If they can’t see an opportunity, its alerts don’t post. Reconnect as a user with wider access.
  • Was it before the alert? Alerts start with what happens after you add or turn on the alert. Older records aren’t posted.
  • Check the channel. Alerts don’t post into an archived channel. Use Send a test alert: if it says the channel is archived or gone, edit the alert and pick another.
  • Check your plan. Salesforce comes with Corporate and Enterprise. If the workspace moved to another plan, alerts stop.
