Make Freesbe your Google Calendar meeting

How-toFor everyoneReviewed Guides: Freesbe meetings in Google Calendar, Meetings

Once the Freesbe add-on is installed, you can use Freesbe for your Google Calendar meetings the way you’d use Google Meet: pick it in the event, and guests get a link they open in any browser.

  1. In Google Calendar, create an event and add the people to invite.
  2. Open the menu next to Add Google Meet video conferencing and choose Freesbe meeting.
  3. The first time, sign in to Freesbe when Calendar asks, pick your workspace and click Connect Google Calendar. Then choose Freesbe meeting again.
  4. Save the event.

The event gets a Join with Freesbe button, and the meeting shows up in Freesbe under Meetings, marked From Google Calendar.

Google Calendar adds Google Meet to new events unless a Google Workspace admin turns Meet off, so ask your admin. With Meet off and Automatically add video calls to events users create on in the Google Admin console, every new event gets a Freesbe meeting.

The add-on has to be installed first: see Freesbe meetings in Google Calendar. If Calendar can’t add the meeting, check Preferences → Calendar → Freesbe meetings in Google Calendar in Freesbe: disconnect, then choose Freesbe meeting in Calendar again to sign in afresh. If it still fails, your workspace’s admins may have turned the calendar add-ins off.
