Integrations
Grafana alerts, where your team already talks.
Freesbe's Grafana integration posts each alert from Grafana alerting into the channel you pick, as one card with its severity, summary, where it's firing, its values and labels. Grafana repeats an alert while it fires; Freesbe keeps one card, and turns it green with how long it lasted when the alert resolves. With a service account token, anyone in the channel can silence the alert for an hour from the card.
One card per alert, kept current
A notification with five alerts posts five cards, and repeats don't post again. Each card links to its Grafana panel.
- Severity from the alert's severity label, from Info to Critical
- The summary, where it's firing, its values and labels
- Turns green with how long it lasted, and a reply for people following it
Silence for 1 hour, from the card
Give Freesbe a Grafana service account token, and a Silence for 1 hour button appears on every firing alert. The silence in Grafana says who pressed it.
A live problems board and reports
One card at the top of the alert channel lists everything firing right now, worst first. Daily or weekly reports count alerts by severity, the typical time to resolve and the noisiest alerts.
Questions
- Which Grafana works?
- Grafana Cloud and Grafana 9 and later on your own servers, with Grafana alerting. You add a Webhook contact point with Freesbe's URL and route alerts to it.
- Does Freesbe need to reach our Grafana?
- Only for the Silence button. Grafana sends alerts to Freesbe, so the cards, the board and reports work even when Grafana isn't reachable from the internet.
